I've posted before about my love of Keira Knightley's style, and I think she's one of a select few modern film stars who embodies a really vintage inspired elegance on the red carpet. As the face of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, she can take her pick from Karl Lagerfeld's creations, but the thing I really admire about Keira is her support for upcoming British designers- she wore Erdem back in 2007 and sported a stunning Mary Katrantzou dress at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year. Her street style is relaxed, cool and comfortable, and her model-like proportions are perfect for showcasing stunning couture pieces on the red carpet:

This look was inspired by the autumnal Erdem printed dress which Keira wore to the Olivier awards in 2010, and by a look she put together back in 2008. I love the floral pattern on this blouse from Miss Selfridge, and the black bow detail ensures it co-ordinates perfectly with this Topshop skirt. These boots from Zara really remind me of the Isabel Marant Dickers, and I think they toughen the outfit up perfectly. This satchel from ASOS also matches the blouse beautifully, and the gold buckles make it look like a designer piece. Finally, this ring from Cheap Frills is the perfect statement accessory to finish the look off.

What do you think of Keira Knightley's style? Are you a fan?

18.12.2011- Sunday Style Spotlight #11: Keira Knightley

It feels like I say the same thing every time I put this post together, but I can't believe the year is almost over. There's just under a month to go until I turn 22 (scary stuff) and shortly after that Christmas will be upon us...and I haven't even started my present shopping yet. Before I start panicking too much about that, here's what I got up to in October:

3rd October- Made the most of the unexpected heatwave at the start of the month by going for a lovely long walk and picnic.

13th October- Made these cupcakes after watching (and being very inspired by!) the final of The Great British Bake Off.

14th October- Received these lovely goodies in the post from Cheap Frills as a thank you after posting about their collection.

19th October- Caught this beautiful sunset on camera.

19th October- Ate far too many of these macaroons at the Oasis Event.

23rd October- Was amazed to find this fox enjoying the sunshine on my neighbour's shed!

How did you spend your October?

03.11.2011- My Month In Pictures: October

Anyone who knows me will tell you without hesitation that I'm an absolute jewellery magpie, so you can imagine how excited I was when the lovely Georgia from Cheap Frills got in touch to tell me all about their recently launched range of handmade, vintage inspired pieces. If you love your jewellery a little bit different, oh so cute and beautifully crafted, then the Cheap Frills online store is definitely the right place for you. Here are some of my favourite pieces:

Fantastic Fox Necklace, £12
Cat Ears Ring, £6
Bird & Pearl Necklace, £8
Pearly Queen Bee Ring, £6
As a lifelong cat person (and not in a mad cat woman way, I hasten to add!), I'm absolutely in love with the Cat Ears Ring. I love how unique each of the designs is, and the fact that each piece is so affordable is fantastic. I can't wait to see what else Cheap Frills have got up their talented sleeves for the future!
